Who would have thought?
Upon taking the girls in for their anual eye check-up, we find out they both needed glasses. Renny had been complaining that her eyes we starting to feel as though they had "plastic over them," that was her way she was describing, her eyes getting blurry. So we set up an appointment for a check up for them to look at both girls eyes and we weren't surprised to hear that Renny needed glasses but when we were told Bell needed some also it was a surprise only because she never complained about her eyes at all. So now we have two beautiful girls with glasses.
They think that the glasses make them look older so they like that aspect and have been in the mirror a lot lately especially Renny...which is unusual for her, not unusual for Bell- she's constantly adoring herslef, LOL!!
Now we only have to learn to keep your fingers off of the lenses.

Children are AMAZING
When we as parents actually take the time out to PARENT our children they CAN become the BEST they can be. I found this video on a blog I stumble upon called "Kwana Writes," it was just inspiring and it brought me Joy....Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy. Watch.

Getting Prepared
Manicures, pedicures, haircuts and braids, this is all in preparation for school. The girls love the excitement they feel when they are getting ready for a night on the town with mom and dad. Dad and mom like to take Renny and Bell out to dinner the night before their first day of school to celebrate the fact that they will begin a new grade level and to remind them of what we expect from them this year.
The girls are learning how to conduct themselves when we go to higher end restaurants compared to how they can act at McDonald's (with the play place being available for them to have a hyper good time). We tend to get compliments on our children's behavior in the nicer restaurants, from patron's sitting at tables next to us. This makes mom and Dad feel really good, because through the stangers noticing the girls being on their best behavior that helps us to be thankful that all our hard work is paying off.
My little ladies in training....oh..did I say ladies? They will always be my babies.
