Who would have thought?

Upon taking the girls in for their anual eye check-up, we find out they both needed glasses. Renny had been complaining that her eyes we starting to feel as though they had "plastic over them," that was her way she was describing, her eyes getting blurry. So we set up an appointment for a check up for them to look at both girls eyes and we weren't surprised to hear that Renny needed glasses but when we were told Bell needed some also it was a surprise only because she never complained about her eyes at all. So now we have two beautiful girls with glasses.

They think that the glasses make them look older so they like that aspect and have been in the mirror a lot lately especially Renny...which is unusual for her, not unusual for Bell- she's constantly adoring herslef, LOL!!

Now we only have to learn to keep your fingers off of the lenses.

Oh, how time flies....

These are photos that were taken in August 2008...the girls painted and embellished their own butterfly wings.

Bell and Renny made these beautiful wings. This project came from the fact that I(mom) had spent to much money on many costumes from The Disney Store. The girls had enjoyed the costumes so much that they wore them every time the got the chance and even when they were getting a bit small for them they kept squeezing them on (you should have seen them it would have made you fall out of you chair laughing, the way they play- it's serious stuff to them you know),so I(mom) had to retire them reluctantly to the -Trash... OOPs, did I say that, YES!! So when Renny Ru and Kail Bell asked for more, I thought this would be a fun project for my crafty DIVAS to design and make their own. So with mom's help we came up with the template that she cut out for them but the extravagantly artistic designs are soley their own.

SUPPLIES: Card Board boxes for a big box store, you know the boxes that they put in the crusher after they stock the shelves with kleenex or paper towels, etc. You will need glue, acrylic paints and a bit of colorful party tissue to add flare- a party store or even art supply is where you should find this. The supplies are simple but the pay off is GREAT!!
"My little Dolls," Happy are they"- with the ecconomy as it is we all need a little break, even when it comes to crafting with the kids. Try this project out and let us know how it faired with you children.
